what's chafe?
Moisture and friction. Do something to prevent moisture from building in the problem area, and provide some form of barrier so that skin isn't rubbing against skin. Whatever you do, don't use cornstarch, if you think chafing is bad, try a topical yeast infection.
Basically it is friction. As a result it tends to occur if clothes are ill fitting or there is a little too much flab, causing skin surfaces to touch each other. Also if more movement than usual takes place, such as at the gym or when doing a sporting activity.

It is helped in the later case if well fitting specialist clothes, shoes and even socks are used to minimise friction.
sweat and friction.heat dose'nt help.
