Head-Banging to Go to Sleep. Is It Normal??

Question:
Ever since I was a baby, the constant way I found to put myself to sleep was to bang my head on a pillow. I'm 20 yrs old now and still do it to get myself to sleep(not every night though), but occasionally. Is it normal?

Answers:
I roll my self back and forth, and even when i AM asleep i do this too,my parents have always tried to stop me,but them waking me only scared me to bits.It is a habit we pick up from childhood.just as some kids also suck their thumb, have blankies,it is a comfort thing, and that is why we still do it.
LMAO thats funny. sorry

i guess if your healthy now
Everybody does that . Dont u know that?!
HAHAHAHA
it sounds to me like a system of self reprimand. are you happy in your day to day life? if you are going to bang your head thats probably the best place. sweet dreams.
Its a habit you have done this for so long but if it gets you to sleep who cares. I have to lay on my belly and rub the top of my foot against the fitted sheet to go to sleep. Keep head banging if it works for you..
