Question:
I just read that mattresses have dangerous chemicals on them to make them fire resistant. my daughter just got a new mattress and wont go near it now. where can we get a mattress without chemicals?

Answers:
Instead of purchasing another mattress, you could buy a mattress cover. It covers the entire mattress like a pillow case but with a zipper.
Why don't you just try a mattress cover. Wouldn't that solve your problem. Then she wouldn't come into contact with it.
I agree with smile4u. Try a mattress cover.

P.S. Rock on!
Purchase a plastic cover for the mattress, then cover that with a thick mattress pad, but first unwrap the new mattress and allow it to air out. That will disburse most of the chemical residue and smell. This could be done outside for the best effect.
I doubt if you can get one without chemicals. You have to realize that even your cleaning products you use to clean your house with often are registered pesticides. Baby shampoos and lots of other products have the component of formaldahyde in them. You use toxic chemicals every time you wash you clothes, put on make up or clean your house.
forget that search.just spray some febreeze on it and it will smell good and then you can convince her that the febreeze neutralize the chemicals...or something like that
