Iliacus crest specialist?

Question:
I am trying to find out what particular specialist would explore the area of the iliacus muscle. I have a torn muscle in that area. There is also swelling of the bone and some reoccuring hematoma. I need exploritory surgery but my Dr. that found this has no clue as to what kind of specialist would do this.

Answers:
Torn muscles are very simple surgeries. Any general surgeon could easily handle the job.
your doctor doesn't know? WOW, i'd watch out for that.
I would find a good orthopedic surgeon if I were you. If you do not want to go the surgery route there is always alternative medicine. i'm big fan of traditional chinese medicine, but you have to watch out... there are a lot of fakes out there. find the real deal and you're good to go. you can also find an Osteopthic Physician who is skillled in Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (an even harder find)
Good Luck.
