Answers:
When I got my tonsils out, I felt like crap all day... I didn't want to eat, drink, move, or anything... I just wanted to sleep. The second day though, I felt pretty good. I think ice cream is a good idea... but when I left the hospital, I was craving a huge Slurpee.
He may not feel like eating ice cream yet...it tends to make the secretions in the throat feel thicker. My kids liked popsicles and jello when they got theirs out (not red or orange). You could make some jello jigglers in cute shapes. :)
No that should be fine I don't think you would look stupid I had my tonsils out when I was a kid and I had iice cream and it was fine so bring him I ce cream is fine and also get him a Nice card would be nice too!
When I got my tonsils out, I was so looking forward to eating all the ice cream.but for the first few days it burned like heck! Maybe bring him some popsicles, that's pretty much all I ate for the first few days.
ice cream tasted horrible to me then. and they have plenty in the hospital. Take a card and your visit will suffice. Promise him Dairy Queen for later
As someone whos been there and done that as an older person - someone whos not like 7!
I would reccomend jello and or a shake of some sort. All that "And you can eat all the ice cream that you want" is complete bull.Poor guy! Just being there for him will suffice Im sure.
