i don't know but it annoys the hell out of me...and i hate that new commercial with all the yawning on it...drives me nuts
I think it's like telepathy or something. I often find myself yawning and then notice that someone else has started to yawn (after I did) even though they didn't notice me doing so.
yeah i heard that to and i do it also when i see someone else do it but i thought u only yawn to get oxygen in your brain
No, it is not that as yawning is simply a proccess means when our body dosenot required amiunt of oxygen then to fulfill the body requirement our mouth enlarges to get maximum amount of oxygen .it is not contagious as it happenes sometimes by seeing some one as it is a human nature...thats all
Actually, yawns are not contagious. This is the explanation from my science lecturer. Basically,we yawn as there is a lack of oxygen in our brain. So,when we yawn, lots of oxygen is inhaled into our lungs. But, in closed places, such as lecture halls, commuters and any small vehicles, there wont be enough oxygen even if you yawn rapidly. So,when you yawn and yawn, the oxygen in such a place starts to reduce and then the low-oxygen condition will affect everyone with you.
