What do you have when you have white things on your pennis?

Question:
becuase i know when its like red and stuff its when you have herpes but i dont how it is when you have like white bumbs in the head of the pennis.

Answers:
This could be several things and some are totally normal. For example:

Fordyce's Spots:
If they are Fordyce's spots, there is nothing to be done. There is no way to prevent them as they are thought to be sebacious glands. They are harmless, very common and most doctors refuse to treat them. Shower or wash as you always do as it has no impact at all.

The only treatment available is vaporizing laser therapy and, as I stated above, most doctors refuse to treat them. Believe it or not, Fordyce's spots are very common and very normal! Do not try to pop them or sqeeze them...it won't get rid of them and will only hurt the tissue of your penis.

Here is a photo to show you what they look like:

Pearly Penile Papules:
Pearly penile papules are nothing to worry about and are very normal and quite common. There is absolutely no chance of them becoming malignant. It is not known why they develop but they are not an STD and are totally harmless. There is absolutely no correlation to pearly penile papules and hygiene. They are more common in uncircumcised men and in those in their 20s and 30s. Don't worry about it...they are nothing!

If it is not either one of these, please see a doctor to find out what you have.
