Ear piercings?
Question:
Answers:
See the doctor.
It would heal up. It can be a year or more before you can take piercings out without them healing up in a night. It's getting itchy cos it's healing, you take it out you'll have to get it repierced. Just keep cleaning the piercing (I recommend distilled witch hazel) and leave it alone.
Only take the earring out if the piercing has swollen the up and/or is oozing green pus. In that case it is infected and you must see a doctor immediately.
You can take it out, but you run a high chance of getting an infection or the whole could grow closed over night. It is itchy because it is healing inside. Get some of the ear cleaning solution and apply every few hours to it to ease the itch. You should only have to leave them in for 6 weeks also not 8.
it probably would start closing up. dont do it cuz then ur going to have to repierce the back and it aint fun! { i have 9 holes in my ears...4 in one and 5 in the other} as for the iching part u should clean it out EVERYDAY cuz it sound like ur begining to get an infection. use alcohol and also a mild soap and water or if they gave u any liquid to clean it with.
I don't think it's a good ideas to leave earrings inyour ear for that long a period. Sores and skin irritation can arise (especially if there is bacteria build up). If anything take the earrign out and take an extremely small item (in some places they sale these types of items for your ears, I think the name is stub but I'm not sure), and use this as a substitute for the earring until you feel comfortable enough to put it back in your ear. (At any rate I don't think the hole will close up if you take it out for one night.)
I would not take it out. I just got mine pierced for the first time ever last week, and I was told that they must stay in for 6 weeks straight. I think your piercings will just start to close up if you take them out, even for a few hours.
It is probably itchy because your ear is sloughing off the tissue that died when you put the metal through the ear. It is part of the healing process! If you take your earrings out while your ears are healing, then your body will make sure they continue healing, and close up the traumatic hole you've put through it!
I found a better method for applying the antiseptic than with a cotton ball. I bought a $2 small spray bottle from the drugstore, and put the antiseptic in there. Then I just spray and spray and drench my lobes with the liquid, while moving them and twisting them in my ear like they recommend. Then I dry off everything with a cotton ball or a tissue. It seems more sanitary than dabbing it with a soaked cotton ball.
You might have the start of allergic reaction or infection starting up from the symptoms you speak of. Use hydrogen peroxide on your new piercing for a few days. Also are your earings of good quality? Stainless steel/14k gold? Some posts have a metal in them with nickle and some people are allergic to the nickle. Good Luck.
