Can you catch a cold because of different temperature changes.?
Question:
Answers:
Yes you can if the temp. change is drastically higher or lower.
No. Impossible. Weather does not cause colds, flu, pneumonia etc.
Only germs cause them. It's an old wives tale. Even my mother used to say that if you go out with wet hair, you will catch pneumonia! Wrong. You won't catch anything unless you've already been infected by germs.
It really depends if it's allergies or not - people with allergies tend to be more sensitive to weather. That can trigger running and stuffy nose. If you're in a hot, stuffy room with a lot of people that are sick, you can obviously catch a cold because that's where bacteria is swarming. Bacteria multiplies by binary fission faster in warmer temperatures (however it's usually body temperature that effects this, not weather).
My mom always gets angry with me when I don't blow-dry my hair and go outside. Unless it's below zero outside (you can catch pneumonia), you can't catch a cold from the weather.
If I was in your situation I'd check with my doctor to see if I had allergies. That may be your problem.
yes it hapens to me when i play a soprt and its indoors and i get relly hot and when i leav its snowing outside
Absolutely not. People get colds (and pneumonia) from other people, NOT from the weather. The reason colds tend to be more prevalent in winter and summer is because it is too cold or hot to be outside, so everyone stays inside. More people inside smaller spaces = more chance for germs to spread.
Allergies, on the other hand, can be influenced by the weather. Stuffy or runny nose with congestion can be symptoms of allergies, not just colds.
