I took sleeping pills. That was the only thing that worked for me
The only way I can sleep after something bad happens is w/ sleeping pills or (if not sleeping pills) a couple good stiff drinks...
sleeping pills and prayer
My doctor just gave me Ambien. I take it about an hour 1/2 before I want to go to sleep, and then I am out like a light.
You need to remind yourself that bad things happen to many and that tomorrow is a new day. I would not recommend sleeping pills at all as these cause more problems than they address. Meditation at night is a good thing - try and learn the art of relaxation and develop positive thinking. Good luck to you.
some people take sleeping pills.however that is a hard habit to breck.might try watching t.v ot music untill you fall asleep.
prayer.
Think about being at the top of a huge grassy hill and at the bottom of it is a lake. You slowly walk down the hill to the lake. As you approach the lake you see a small row boat rested a shore. Walk slowly up to the boat. Think about each one of the terrible thing or things that happened one at a time. The first one say it to yourself and put the thought into the boat, then the next one and so on. After you have put those troubles into the boat, push that boat into the water. push it slow at first then give it a hard push. Watch it as it slowly drifts out. Watch it go out of your site. When the boat with your troubles go out of your site, turn around and walk slowly up the hill. As you walk slowly up the hill, notice the trees and flowers that weren't there when you first walked down the hill. Look up at the sky. Notice the colors. When you get to the top of the hill, do NOT look back. Walk down the other side of the hill where there is NO water.
Sounds nuts I know, but someone taught me that when something terrible happened to me and it worked..and I use it to this day..sometimes I redo it it my thoughts come back, but by the time I'm walking down the other side of the hill I start dreaming.
