Answers:
how was your hemoglobin 165... do you mean 16.5... well that's good it just has to be over 12 I believe... I can't believe they hit a nerve what dumbasses, they shouldn't have been so desperate to find your vein... well since your blood stopped for no reason I don't think there is anything wrong with you, but I wouldn't recommend you donating again it will just be the same problem... you are just consider to have difficulty in donating blood and finding veins, if anything you should check the doctors to see if there is anything wrong with you... but I've heard of this situations many times, the result is just these donors is not recommended to donate again since it's difficult... don't worry too much if anything they will sample your blood and call you with feed backs if it's bad (in some cases)
It's probable that you're overweight. The more fat you have on your arms, the harder it is to find a vein. Often, blood donation clinics have more experienced staff who are able to overcome this obstacle.
Nothing wrong with you, sometimes they just can't find a vein. It's easier on some arms than others, and I know skinny people where the same thing has happened. But it does mean they might struggle in future to find a vein, too. Mind you, if they hit a nerve, it sounds like they weren't very good at what they were doing.

I'd try one more time to donate blood before deciding that my veins were too hard to find. But wait till the bruise on your arm heals properly.
