Marijuana detox?
Question:
I know she's going to go through withdrawals and I've read about the detox symptoms online. What I want to know, is, what can I do to help her? How can I help ease her suffering? I really want her to succeed in this. And she wants to too.
Any advice for her? Please?
Answers:
As far as "detox" there's not much to suffer through. Marijuana is a fairly tame toxin and it doesn't take long for the body to adapt to it's absence. In fact, marijuana has no properties of physical addiction. It's merely psychological.
I would suggest she does not try to quit both at once. As a recovering alcoholic myself, I can attest to the fact that doing too much at once is a welcome mat for a full-scale breakdown. Tell her to quite the weed first, then after she's been clean for a while she can worry about the cigarettes.
Your friend is going to have a much harder time quitting smoking cigarettes than weed. Marijuana isn't physically addictive like nicotine. My mom smoked for around 20 yrs. and quit about 20 yrs. ago and she still says that sometimes when she's feeling stressed or when she sees other people doing it she will crave it. I guess it just comes down to how much will power she has.
I was a smoker for 25 years and I had quit smoking for over six times ,but never really quit smoking before.Just after I read that quit smoking program, I realized how easy quitting smoking was.I am a non-smoker now! I highly recommend this program to your friend. It really works. You can check out http://quit-smoking-in-3-hours.info...
Good luck!
