What does a drug intervention specialist do?

Question:
I was just wondering about this because I saw a flyer with these words.

Answers:
A drug intervention specialist is someone who facilitates a drug intervention for someone who is drug dependent. This is done so as to get the addict to undergo treatment. An intervention specialist can also be in charge of doing programs that will tackle issues regarding drug abuse so that people, specially teens, would choose not to try drugs.
