What does a person do when they have been feeling sick all night from eating garlic?

Question:
My stomach still feels really weak and a bit sour. What do I do? I really need some good advice..

Answers:
You could eat something like soda crackers or tea biscuits. They contain baking soda and that helps relieve the bitter, sourness in your stomach.

Or you could put a teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of water and drink it down. It tastes awful, but it works.

And stay away from garlic or take an acid reducer before eating any garlic.
Try Ginger, Peppermint Oil, or Aloe Vera... they are all very popular stomach soothers.
You may be allergic to garlic or the sulfur compounds in the garlic-some people allergic to the sulfa drugs will have symptoms to the sulfur compounds in the garlic. You have two options. Avoid garlic or get tested and desensitized for garlic.Another option may be that it wasn't the garlic or the garlic was contaminated in some way.You may also say, I have been eating garlic all my life and never had these symptoms before, but that is precisely how you become allergic to garlic, or any food, by exposing(eating) your system to it repetitiously. As far as the nausea goes, it depends on what caused it. Applesauce(not apple juice), unsweetened, contains pectin to absorb things in your stomach and tastes good. Herbal and over-the-counter remedies may help to.
