Migraines, how do you know if they are chronic?

Question:
Starting in like second grade, age 8(i think), i have had migraines and when i was younger i didn't know they where migraines, i thought they were just headaches. I was sensitive to light and sometimes the migraine would be in the top of my eye. Then i started having sinus headaches and migraines at the same time.
My first question is how do you know if you have chronic migraines?
2. What is the best way to deal with them?
3. Is it weird that they started so young?

Answers:

same with me my started out in 3rd grade mainly because of stress i would come home every night with a migraine the best way i have dealt with them is just having to go to a dark room and sleep but avoiding caffeine and stress might help. you could also talk to your doctor and they might prescribe you something to help.
