It's late, I can't sleep . . . any advice?please?!?

It's hard for me to sleep at night because of stress sometimes, is there anything I can do that will help me fall asleep?

I do not belong to any religion but for me, it works to say a little pray in my head, then I thank God for all the good things I have had during the day, my family, friends, the nice people I saw that day, the health, food, home, the good things I could do or someone did for me, and traveling through those moments (with my eyes closed, of course), I end up relaxing and falling asleep happy. If you do not want to say a pray, just try to go over the good memories of that day or any other occasion and that might help you a lot :)
I take 2 Benadryl every night about 2 hours before I want to fall asleep! Works for me!
warm milk!! i am not sure of the science,(i did know it at one time)but a good ol fashioned glass of warm milk should do the trick.Sweetest of dreams,GODBLESS U & yours & have a good nite eh!Peace n Love NOT wars n walls!

Deep breath, with every in breath take in peacefull air and out breath say you are releasing stress. should calm you down. If possible take 2 tablespoons of honey before starting to deep breath. have a nice nights sleep.
My mom used to tell me when i was little to just warm up some milk and drink it!! I dunno may work but i was little so... just try it email me back if it works!!
try no sweets @ least 2 hours before bed and take a long bath then read a boring book
I am not sure there's something you could do right now, but tomorrow morning, make sure you get up veeeeery early and DO NOT sleep during the next day and I assure you you'll sleep like a baby tomorrow night
If you have a bedtime routine i.e brushing your teeth, shower etc, get up and do it again, then lie in bed in your favorite position and count backward from 100, starting again if you get distracted. I usually start about 6 times before I fall asleep, but it does work, i promise
I have the same problem sometimes i write in my journal and write 10 thing that are in my head and it has a 90% that after you write it you will fall asleep.

Best cure for insomnia..is to get plenty of sleep.

I count backwards from 100. I picture myself walking down a long flight of stairs. Each step I take is deeper into relaxation. Each time I loose count I start again. Block out everything else and focus only on the numbers. I know it sounds tedious. It takes time to master this technique but once you do, it works in minutes. I have been doing it for 30 years and no matter what's going on in my life it works.
