Am I Left-handed, Right-handed or ambidextrous?

Question:
If I can only write with my left hand, but can do most other things with either hand (other than left handed scissors, which I find impossible to use at all), does that make me left-handed, right-handed or ambidextrous?

Answers:
I'm the same exact way, over the years I started using my right hand for a lot of things but I still write lefty. I consider myself ambidextrous so so are you. Rightys use the left side of their brain and lefties use the right side of the brain which is said to be more creative than the left and usually lefties are smarter. I wonder if you eventually become ambidextrous than you switched brain sides or you use both sides to make us super geniuses.
ambidextrous is my guess
If you can only write with your left hand then you are left handed. You would only be considered ambidextrous if you could write equally well with both hands.
my friend is like that except she does it with the opposite u do

ur i guess ambidextrous

maybeee.
You are cross-dominant! Cross-dominance, also known as mixed-handedness, is a motor skill manifestation where a person favors one hand for some tasks and the other hand for others, though is not necessarily ambidextrous..

Learning what the word you are using means is usually helpful people. Ambidextrous means: using both hands with equal ease.
It could be that you are left-handed but have learned to adapt and use your right hand in our right handed dominant world. The dictionary defines ambidextrous as being able to use both hands equally well...so I guess it depends if you feel they can be used equally well.
I think ambidextrous, I am too. I can only write (well) with my right hand, but I do basically everything else with my left hand: bag groceries, drive... etc.
No you have to write with both hands to be ambidextrous

I am I can write and do anything with both
I am exactly the same. I write, eat and shoot pool w/ my left hand. I do everything else with my right hand, including all sports. People will always refer to you as left-handed HOWEVER - if you try, you will notice that it is easier for you to learn how to do things with either hand than it is for other people. Go ahead, try it. It will be awkward the first couple of times then all of a sudden, you will just get used to it while other people can never do it all.
ambidextrous
ambidextrous cuz being certainhanded is like doing anything mostly wit 1 so u can wit both
Ambidextrous can to anything with both.
You are left handed but was taught by right handed people.
it makes you like my brother. He writes with his left hand and plays tennis with his right, catches and throws with his right. Basically everything...with his right but he is still considered left handed.
so you are left handed.

But if you could write with your right hand just as effectively as with your left, then you are ambidextrous.

I think that being ambidextrous requires equal strength and effectiveness on both hands... lol or we can call you Selective Ambidextrous or Part time Left hander... lol

who really cares? lol
The best way to know is pay attention to which hand you use to wipe with when you are done in the bathroom. It sounds silly, but that is your prominent hand. You should not to try and become ambidextrious. In an emergency situation you may have a confusing moment to which hand to use. Split seconds count in an emergency!
i consider myself left-handed, because i eat and write with my left hand. i do everything else with my right hand though. i can't use those left-handed scissors either, and never put a knife in my left hand or i'd hurt myself. i gues it's ambidextrous. however, according to dictionary.com this is the definition of ambidextrous:
"able to use both hands equally well "
I write only with my left hand and perform most tasks equally well right or left handed. I doubt that you are a true ambidexterous because that condition is caused by lack of dominance in the brain. Ambidexterous people are really clumsy because they are unable to coordinate their hands and feet properly. You may be a person with mixed dominance. This is a condition where you have a dominant hand and your eye is differently dominant, i.e. left hand right eye dominant or right handed and left eye dominant.
If you could actually write with both your hands which you can't that would make you ambidextrous. I can use my left and right hand to type and use the mouse and perform most other tasks equally. It's not that hard and I'm right handed.
