Ears turn bright red after I shower.?

When I shower in the afternoon, my ears turn bright red and stay impressively warm for an hour or more. This doesn't ensue when I shower in the morning. Does anyone know why this happen? I'm male, if that make a difference... and this has other happened. Thanks
