Stress can arise for a variety of reasons. Any change in our lives can be stressful. In dealing with stress, the lifestyle needs a complete overhaul. That is what I feel like when I have anxiety attacks.
It sounds like anxiety. If you want to get rid of the anxiety attacks see a psychiatrist and ask for Xanax. Xanax has eliminated my anxiety. It's great.
hard to say.most of that COULD have to do with anxiety, but swollen lips?? I dont think that one is under that catatgory.
Could be allergic to something, because of the lips swelling and the itchyness, how about headaches??
And ask your doc to put you on a mood stableizer if they think it's stress/anxiety, try it and see...Lexapro seems to be a good one, but takes about a month to get into your system, cant tell your on anything, but it will calm you down in a nice "medium" happy mood.
Stress and anxiety affects everybody differently. Sometimes the symptoms of an anxiety attack exactly mirror a heart attack. I had a patient once who had chronic hives, every single day.. very bad.. and he would get a shot of epinephrine (which is the drug used to treat hives & other symptoms of allergic reaction) it would get better for like 20 minutes, then the hives would be right back. Also, I have seen patients who's hands or feet cramp up in a unnatural position, I have even seen patients pass out from an anxiety attack. If you've had a complete heart work up, and your doctor has ruled out any cardiac conditions, maybe it is time to try an anti anxiety/antidepressant. They really can help, I myself suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and than God for the wonderful meds available today!
Stress and anxiety can cause the body to do all kinds of things including the symptoms that you describe. When you feel this way take some time and try to relax, think of something pleasant and drift there. This should help calm the symptoms.
