Question:
I'm only 18 years old, but at least once on a daily basis I get super bad hot flashes...My face turns bright red, I start sweating like a pig, and I just feel so sick. Sometimes it lasts less than an hour, but most of the time I find myself feeling way too hot all day long, like my whole body is burning! Why does this keep happening to me? Do you think that my doctor will have a good cure?
Answers:
Ask you doctor what he/she knows about premature ovarian failure and also try to get your primary physician to give you a referral to an endocrinologist.
yes, see your doctor.
sounds like a symptom of something else...
this is normal in women who are premenopauesal. there is not really anything that you can do for it. THere is a OTC medicine that you can but its more of an herbal supplement for menopause. check it out. Hot flashes are a sign of endometriosis which is a condtition where you have awful period symptoms too. heavy bleeding cramping, hot flashes, etc.
Is there a possiblity that your pregnant? I've heard women can get like that in the early stages of pregnancy.
