you ever hear of men being XY and women being XX? blood type is kind of like that. take the grasshopper genes. XX is female and XO is male. The O stands for an abscense from the genotype. So O blood type is an abscence. No one is completely one blood type except for O. Which means both of your parents are either type O, or they have type AO or BO and both gave you the O gene. The positive or negative sign on any blood type has to do with the type of antigens the cells have. Grab a genetics, anatomy, or immunology book for better details.
Types AO and BO are equals and will combine to form AB. or you can be either A or B. so when someone says they are type A, they are actually AO, but since the O doesnt really count they say A. The same for B. But O is just O. and O+ is the universal donor because all blood types can accept it. Im O+ too.

It means you are a universal donor. That means you can give blood to anyone, however, you can only recieve blood from other O+ people.
Being O+ means you can donate your blood to anyone but can only receive blood from a matching donor. It's my blood type and this is what they told me about it. It is a good blood type.

AB- is the rarest, with donors often getting police escorts when patients are in need of this type of blood.
its a more popular blood group im rhesus negative and theres not alot with that group so if u had an accident and needed blood theres a better chance for you than me
Its the most common blood group so you are in the majority.if you ever need a blood transfusion there will be no problem.
It does not mater which group you are. O+ is the commonest worldwide.
