I think that it depends on how you die. A person who dies in his/her sleep would probably have just faded away. Cancer victims would have it the worst - but the doctors are liberal with the pain meds. It's hard to answer your question because we really don't know.

Depends on the cause, most times palliative care is used when a person is passing
i guess that depends on what kills you. considering i'm not dead, that's the best i can say.
not that i or anyone else has experienced it that can answer this...
but im guessing if it was instant, i would say no, if it took a while and they suffered, then probably yes.
