Is Marijuana a Threat or a Menace?
Question:
Answers:
No. You legalize the drug you remove the bad things. Price goes down, demand goes down because it's less "cool". The seedy element is replaced by corporate brands. It's like prohibition. You legalize the booze, the gangsters go away. Also it removes the "gateway" effect because the next step is illegal, cause the individual to consider whether its worth the risk or not. The reason medicinal marijuana is outlawed is because it's so cheap drug companies can't overprice the hell out of it, and it's benefits can't be isolated, extracted, and inflated in price. So, the lobbies get the competition out of the game. It's whole prohibition is a tale of companies controlling the legality of a benign substance.
A menace. A threat hasn't begun to take effect, its something that could potentially be harmful. Marijuana has plagued our countries young ppl (and some old ones too) for far too long. Be smart, say no to drugs
It just grows, naturally. If we want to know the threat and the menace we need only look in the mirror. Toke with me and we'll forget all about it.
I think marijuana use is out of control, at least where I live it is. Canada is a haven for it. I hate it, I don't think society takes it serious enough, my ex was addicted to it and he sucked when he was doing it!! The grow ops, organized crime and violence that goes along with it is a major issue. I think tougher laws are needed to curb this "growing" problem!!
Only to thinking and freedom of expression - - - Marijuana literally sparks the imagination in those in tune to its essence thus it is a menace to ridgid adherence to set norms & principals, to those forces that demand conformity - - -
it can hamper productivity whch is why ice/meth is promoted so heavilly in America.

Marijuana was given to us by the Lord Almighty in its native form. It's not some drug that's mass-produced by introducing chemicals to other chemicals and maybe eventually to something that at one point in time resembled something found in nature. I know more pot-heads or occassional smokers than I do people who never partake in the Lord's Lettuce, and I have to say that if you take the ratio of people who do partake and are good people against the ratio of people who don't partake and are good people, you'll see the bigger percentage of partakers are good people. OK, that's sounds like it comes from a total stoner, but I have random testing at both jobs (the civilian job and the National Guard) so I've been clean for longer than makes me happy. I know fewer stoner drunks. I know fewer aggressive stoners. I know fewer stoners who have trouble with the law. I know more stoners with careers that matter, and they actually work their a$$es off at their jobs as well. I know more stoners who vote, who get active in the processes of our government, who treat other people with kindness and lack of judgement. I know more stoners who like themselves and are not always depressed or angry. Just my observations.
Oh one more thing - the link between marijuana and cancer? I read this in an ARMY publication, of all places, the anti-drug if I ever saw one... the THC from smoking marijuana has been shown in studies to actually reverse the cell mutations that cause lung cancer.
No, it never has been. The jack booted B@st@rds that enforce the crazy drug laws in this country are the threat and the menace. I used to smoke the stuff in my late teens for about three years. I haven't used it in 25 years. It wasn't for me. I however have been a user and abuser of alcohol and other people since then and can tell you with no uncertainty that pot is not a dangerous substance in comparison to alcohol and me. I've been involved in several violent incidents as the result of alcohol indugence. I have never witnessed one such incident involving a "pot head" who only smoked and didn't drink or do other drugs. If any "substance" out there should be legal it should be pot. Oh by the way this country (U.S.) has made a cottage industry of putting drug users in prison. It makes me sick to my stomach watching all of these folks being "criminalized" just for using. The only reason that it's illegal is because of all the beaurocrats that are getting their cut from the suppliers and the fines imposed on the users. Also their slice of all the taxes brought in to run the prisons. Human beings are always so d@mned contradictory. In my experiences with "pot heads" 80% are peaceful folks that just want to be "low key" and be left the fuque alone, unlike me , I'm full of beer and looking for some sh!t to get into right now boy!! By the way I am THE ALL AMERICAN!!
Neither. Does it have some good, yes. Does it have some bad, yes. Just because some people use it improperly over too much doesn't mean it's a menace, or that is should be banned. People get addicted to the internet, and some people get spyware. Just because something has some bad aspects doesn't mean its bad.
I'm not condoning drug use, but I'm just saying that it isn't as clear cut as people say or as you put it.
menace to me it was another kind of illegal tobaccos.
I know surely that people who smoking Marijuana everyday at the end will become menace.
