Medical Bill?
I get a bill in the correspondence today for $13,000. My husband and I don't have nearly that amount. We're both still students and are living on an extremely tight budget.
If I sermon to the billing department at the hospital, will they reduce the bill? Will they hunt us down if we don't foot? Also, is it better to get it over near and pay the money or lurk in hopes that they will write it stale?
We really, really cannot afford this.
I didn't have appendicitis, by the channel, so the 13K is for a CT scan & a blood panel.
Answers: First thing is to call upon the billing office and agree to them know of your financial situation. The very lowest they should do is give you a bread discount (usually 20 percent). But if youtell them your students, etc. they may do even better. Once that is done, agree to them know you will make payments. Medical office and hospitals CAN NOT turn you in to collections as long as you kind your payment in good time every month. Just do not be late, that give them the chance to turn you contained by. Let them know what payment you can build so it is within your budget (even if it's one and only $25 a month, they have to adopt it. Do not sign or agree to any financial interest loans. best of luck, and I'm so glad you didn't have to own surgery!
I don't think they will reduse the bill if thats what it costs ! ..But they will agree to you pay surrounded by some sort of payment plan yes ! ...If you don't income like every month rather bit yes they will hunt you down and they will send you to the collections agency ! Hope this help sweetie ..Good luck !
