Why do I suddenly have the urge to urinate frequently in a day?

Question:
This problem started after I had sexual intercourse with my new boyfriend for the first time. After a couple of days, I've been going to the bathroom to urinate more than ever and I do not look forward to the pain when I urinate. Also, I bleed when I urinate. I thought I was having my menstruation.

What is wrong with me? I'm making a call to my doctor on Monday, but I need to know now. Anyone?

Answers:
Yes - it's a bladder infection for sure. They're easily treatable, see the doc asap. I agree with the cranberry juice remedy too, it really works. Don't worry, it's not your boyfriend's fault but try to both have a shower before the next time!
sounds like you have a UTI (urinary tract ifection) not uncommon in sexually active women.

in the mean time, drink plenty of fluids, cranberry juice is good for nuetralizing the ph.

The Dr will put you on antibiotics and you will feel btter in no time.

Remember to always urinate after intercourse, this helps to prevert UTI's from recurring.
you have cystitis
you either have a uti, or bacterial vaginosis (something like that) the reason i think its the latter is because you bleed when you pee both are easily treatable
Well if u haven't been drinking more then its a urinary tract ifection. Get that taken care of or it will lead to more problems like your bladder to your kidneys.
