Why do mosquitos only bite some people?

Question:
Me and my mum and dad were recently on holiday in fueteventura, and me and my dad both got no mozzie bites at all, but my mum got 40, and about 5 of the went into these massive blisters and it looked disgusting. Why did they only bite her?

Answers:
alot has to do with diets and the pheromone sent you let out. there is no way of changing it. also, they seem to be attracted with people with high potassium diets.
Terra is right. They are also very attracted to carbon dioxide, which all living organisms emit. If you release more than someone else by random chance, they will be more attracted to you.

This is why mosquito traps they have now emit carbon dioxide to attract mosquitos to the machine instead of people.
its down to your blood and whats in it , to avoid getting bitten , take vitamin b complex tablet everyday for 2 months before you go on holiday and eat lots of garlic
