Soy products +estrogen?

Question:
Does anyone know any soy foods... or anything else (besides pills) that will produce more estrogen? THANKS!

Answers:
Soy doesn't produce estrogen... it has plant hormones in it that may work similarly to hormones in your body and/or may influence how your body responds to estrogen (it varies person to person).

As far as things to increase your estrogen, try DHEA. It's the precursor to both estrogen and testosterone in the human body, so your body will naturally convert it into whichever of the two you need. It also won't be like an injection of artificial hormones (which can throw off your entire body chemistry), but it will support the natural level of hormones that your body should have.
It is important to follow the warnings on it as well, just because it is giving a boost of hormones for most people, and that can be more than some people's bodies are ready for.

If DHEA won't work for you (because of the warnings... women under 35 shouldn't use it, for example), you could try progesterone. some women get a lot of hormonal support from that.
There's also several herbs that help with general "monthly problems" by helping to regulate your hormones. There's Black Cohosh, Borage Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Wild Yam, and a few others that are pretty popular.

One of the biggest factors in looking at what may be the best choice is the reason that you want to take it. Is it to help with menstruation, menopause, hormonal development, or something else?
An important note (since you didn't specify it in the question) is that if you want to take hormones to help develop, that's a REALLY bad idea for most women. If nothing else, check with a doctor (preferably one that knows about supplements), and they can help you decide what would be best and safest for you.
