I wouldn't shave that area. Just trim it up. If you shave it you will get all itchy when it grows back.
I just prefer no hair down there at all, but I think it should at least be clipped and neat if anything

my husband is hairy all over,and i love him just the way he is,and besides if you shave downstairs,you will grow so much hair back your wife or girlfriend will think you have an amazon forrest growing down there
in a bee hive. the fashion is not yet here but it is up and coming in mid next year some time.
Style it as you may, but God gave everybody hair in certain areas to protect that area. Who will see it anyway? Who are you trying to impress.
I have a son, who shaved his pubic area and suffered greatly afterwards. Whenever he walked, he had to scratch from the hair growing out, in some cases he had hair bumps. Since no one wanted to go down there to pull the hairs out of the bumps, he suffered for some weeks, until the hair grew back out. After that he never tried to style his pubics again.
Even one of my daughters tried to style her pubics, so that she could wear a very small bikini, she told me also, she would never do that again. The itching was terrible and embarrassing, cus when you have to scratch, you have to scratch.
