Vomiting bile- a bad thing?

Question:
I've just been throwing up this dark yellow bile with the occasional bit of green- yes, it was beautiful. I just don't understand why since everyone seems to be saying that you vomit up food first and that never happened. I ate about 2 1/2 hours ago and all I vomited up was the yellow stuff. Should I be worried?

Answers:
drink some water, and you may also need to see a doctor you may have gallbladder problems. If you are making yourself vomit you may have damaged something because it is not normal to vomit after eating,
My mother began vomiting bile several weeks ago. She had a slight hernia and it crimped off several inches of her intestinal tract. She ended up in emergency surgery. The bile spilled into her system, and literally poisoned her. It took weeks of antibiotics to clear that out. The surgeon told her that she had made it to the hospital just in time.

You see, if bile spills into your system, you can get peritonitis and die. If your intestinal tract is restricted or crimped off, it can cause gangrene, and you can die.

I'm not saying that this is the case with you, but if you are vomiting pure bile, then you need to go to the hospital immediately and find out because this could be very serious.

Best wishes.
Maybe the food had already passed through your stomach into your intestine.

And what you vomited wasn't bile, but was stomach acid and other gastric juices.
