Urine color?
Question:
Answers:
if your urine is strong and dark it usually does mean that it is not diluted enough. you should drink more water about 2 quarts a day. and then your urine will change to a light yellow straw color. it takes a couple of weeks for your body to get used to all that water and at first you will be going to the bathroom a lot, but then when your body gets adjusted you will notice that you are not having to go as much and your body will know what to do with the water
Well really urine is suppose to as clear as possible because it shows your body is really hydrated and moving a lot of water through it. The darker your urine is the more dehydrated your body it.
Urine should be light lemon-colored, not dark like a sunrise.

wow, a case of TMI with the pee smelling,
anyways, if its a dark color than you need to drink more water its just supposed to be a very light color. And if it has a strong odor, then try more water, but if that doesnt work, see a doctor. That could mean something is really wrong with you.
I heard on Oprah once that it should be the color of the juice of ONE lemon. If it's strong smelling that would give me pause for thought.
p.s. the more water you drink the lighter in color your urine gets, not the other way around.
The clearer the healthier you are. water does actually get it more clear, you should listen to your bf!
Urine show be an amber or straw color.
Odor can be effected by alot of things.
The only thing you really need to pay attention to is the color, a dark yellow/golden means you need to drink more water, a light/ transparent color means your doing good and drinking alot of water.
If its dark in colour it could either mean that you are due for coming on your period, or that you are dehydrated. If it smells at all get to your GP because it could be an infection. Hope that helps.
the colour of your urine will depend on the overall body level of water. if your water body levels are low e.g. a hot day then the hypothalamus in your brain will emit a hormone ADH which will absorb more water from your urine and therefore increase its concentration and therefore strength of smell. On a cold day where you haven't lost a lot of body water your body will excrete more water and therefore result in a paler, weak smelling urine.
if it's light, it's healthy. if it's like the color of apple juice, you do need to drink more water
I do believe your boyfriend is right. You should probably drink MORE water. If nothing really changes, then it's time you seek medical attention. After all, we're no MD's here.
It should be a yellowish color. If you drink a lot of water, it will be lighter. You need not worry if it is not dark dark yellow. I went for my annual pap and had to take a pregnancy test, and mine is like water. The nurse told me she has never seen it that light and said 'you must drink a lot of water'. I said, "No, a lot of diet cokes, but I go to the bathroom a lot." Everyones is different with different smells, it is just your body ridding itself of toxins and unneeded nutrients. Water can help with the smell. But it isn't anything bad, nothing for you to worry about.
as an old buddy of mine used to say,
"if it's clear, it's beer. if it's yellow, you're mellow".
so, the more liquids you drink, the lighter or clearer your urine will be. for example, after i have been cutting and stacking firewood and have been sweating for a couple of hours, or, if i have a nice 90 minute workout at the gym, my urine tends to be on the darker side until i drink some liquids to get re-hydrated.
I'm just going out to Dinner. That rules the apple juice out!!
you definatly need to drink more water. urine is suppose to be light and if it is like you say your probly i lil dehydrated (pee is really the only way to tell if your hydrated or not)
it should look + smell like water it means u r hydrated
dark yellow means ur dehydrated
Normally, it should be straw yellow color.
Bright color occurs when you are dehydrated and even with some vitamin supplements.eg;Vitamin B. The drug called Rifampicin(Anti- TB Drug), will turn your urine very orange-red color. You also may notice frank blood or pink stain in the urine if,you have trauma to the urinary tract and urinary bladder. It does require urgent medical attendance.
Normally, drinking plenty of water should solve the problem.People may also complain strong odour when, they have UTI and may notice their urine bit cloudy and complain burning while peeing.Again, drinking plenty of water should solve the problem and if, you experience fever and tiredness, you need to consult your doctor for drug therapy.
Hope, it helps
Regards,
it should be clear and no strong odor, if it is yellow you need to hydrate yourself
