My Friend Cuts herself, Does anyone know of a rehab. clinic in California?

She may not agree to want to go to a clinic, tell her parents right away. or u can tell urs, ANYONE who will listen. ur friend needs medical help. take her to a hospital if u have to but u need to get her into a place where people will help her. this is mental issues. she needs to go to a therapy but someone needs to know first so she can get help. hurry! Simple as not she feels she has no feelings and cuts herself cause she thinks it is all she can feel. Contact parents and make them aware of her problem. Oh and usually people get this way from abuse or trama so keep an eye out for that.
You could talk her into going to councelling. It sounds like she's been unable to vent, so this is her way. My son used to cut himself too. It's partially because the pain helps keep them real. It's better to feel pain than nothing at all. You should maybe talk to a relative she's close to and that she can trust. I also know that in most cases the one cutting themselves have gone through abuse. Usually in cases of neglect, feelings of abandonment. Depression sufferers also sometime cut themselves as a distraction from their real pain, also they may feel that's what they deserve. Your friend does have a problem and I wish her peace and happiness. Good luck to you in your journey to help her. Maybe call kids help line if you can't get her to talk to someone. They could be helpful.
