I had been on Depakote for 5 years. I want to get off that medication because my doctor misdiagnose me.?

Question:
Is the chemical in my brain alter?
Is it too late to go back to the way I used to be, without the medication?

Answers:
Don't even think about stopping your drugs without talking to your doctor first. He will give you a plan to slowly take you off Depakote if you have been misdiagnosed. If you just stop takin it you be good for a 48 to 60 hours then your life will be a living hell and it will take weeks to get the drug level back up. Depakote is not something to play with. Been there done that! Got the t-shirt.
same old story,,now i feel good i don't need my meds
Which chemical in your brain? IS there more than 1 chemical in your brain we are talking about....how far back do you think it is to the way you used to be? How altered do you think your brain is? Gee 5 years that's a lot!
You have asked this question before and the answer is still the same. You can't safely take yourself off of Depakote.

You present yourself as being rather difficult to deal with. Please try to calm down and not be so "furious" and speak rationally to your Doctor.

You may need to change Doctors if you don't trust your current one.

Nothing is "altered" in your brain. You will probably always need to take Depakote.
