What happens if you take add medication to focus even more than usual if you dont have add?

Most ADD or ADHD medications are stimulants (adderall, ritalin, dexadrin). Taking the medication as advised (swallowing a pill, DO NOT SNORT IT) will make you feel more awake and focused. It does, in fact, aid in studying for long periods of time (even over night) or writing papers, etc. If you do decide to take the pill make sure you have plenty of water to drink and you put yourself in an environment that is conducive to the activity you want to get done (reading, writing, etc.) 30 minutes after you take the pill. Since it is a stimulant, it will affect your sleep schedule, so do not take it in the evening unless you want to stay up. I do not advise taking a medication like this for a test, especially if you have never taken it before. Only in very rare circumstances that would depend upon other health issues, would someone die from taking one pill of a medication like this.
However, you should be cautious in taking the medication because you don't want to rely on the extra "edge" it provides you in studying, etc. Use of ADHD medication to aid in studying was rampant at my University. In the end, it is important that you are achieving your grades by your own merit, and not only because you were chemically stimulated. You will feel better about yourself if you achieve drug-free!
You focus much better. That stuff works on everybody. Mostly because ADD isn't real. It works like this;
Back in the day, ADD was called a learning disability. Before that it was known as slow. Before that dim. Pre-dim it was called dumb. They just change the name so it's easier for the parents to deal with it. If it's a disorder it's not your fault, your baby just needs medicine to think correctly. It's a feel good issue.
When I went to college almost everybody took ADD meds during finals. Some took it all year. Then I graduated and joined the work force, and guess what? Yup. The office is full of people on ADD meds. It makes a huge difference in your ability to concentrate. Anything for an edge, right?
anytime you take medications like this when you don't need them, it is very dangerous, it will not help you focus any better and it could screw you up pretty bad. go to a pharmacist with the script( where it was purchased is best) and ask for a list of the side effects, they can be multiplied 10 fold in someone who does not need the meds. it could land you in the hospital or dead.
It makes you hyper bc, after all, it is a stimulant. So you may be able to stay up all night to study for that big test but you may not be able to sit down to actually study. You could end up addicted and worst case scenario is death.
And for the person who said that ADD doesn't exist and is a made up term to make parents of stupid kids feel better.You're a f**king idiot. ADD and ADHD are very real and the kids who have those conditions are anything but dumb or slow.
