Go to the Doctor.
Your father is a moron, go and see the doctor, he is the only person who can give you the best advice.
Your dad isn't to bright and he is an LPN? Go to the doc. Yes it may be viral or it may be allergies.
Try backing off of anything to acidic. I.e. tomatoes, orange juice, etc.
Hmm when I had chicken poxs I had little bumps on my tongue. You could have chicken pox or they might just be your taste buds.
Are you referring to those tiny white bumps? If so my mother used to call them "lie bumps" meaning you have lied about something and once you tell the truth they will go away (a bit of amusement for your morning ;)
In all seriousness though they are just tiny viral infections. Nothing to get worried about. Try not to pick at then or rub them against your teeth and they should be gone in a couple of days. In the mean time drink water, take your vitamins (either as pills or in the food you eat) and stay healthy.
Try a cheese grater.
Your Dad's right that it's viral, and nothing the doc would do about it. Rinse your mouth with hydrogen peroxide and spit it back out. Be careful not to swallow any though. Then rinse with plain water a couple of times and spit it out. They will be gone by morning. If not, apply salt directly to the bumps in the morning, and leave it there until disolved. The salt will burn/sting, but also get rid of them.
What you are describing sounds like transient lingual papillitis (TLP), better known as "lie bumps" on the tongue. This condition is limited to the upper (dorsal) surface of the tongue, affecting some of the tiny bumps on the tongue known as the fungiform papillae. Fungiform papillae are the normal little bumps on the top of the tongue that people call "taste buds." they are nothing to worry about and usually appear when you eat acitic foods or eat sour candy. Once I even Got them by eating a bag of salt and vinegar chips. I wouldn,t get too scared about it because they usually go away within a day or two, but if they are still there within a week you should try to convince your dad to take you the the doctor.
Hope this helps!
Nick
