Do sinus problems last forever?

Question:
I have really bad sinuses, and have to do a nasal rinse daily(its really uncomfortable). My ears and throat still kill me, and I still get head pressure. Will this go on and on?

Answers:
Sorry darling...sinuses are genetic. I take something each night to keep my sinuses manageable. They are worse at different times of the year. Remember, it can also be related to allergies. Perhaps if you seen an allergist they might find other problems that are contributing to your sinus problems.
Ya, but you get used to them. They are bad though.
Yes, the problems from the sinuses do last forever. The only relief is medication (over the counter or prescription) that will temporary relieve the condition until the next onset.
yes and it sucks. but just get medicine
They seem to continue if the irritant is in the environment. One of my co-workers (in his late 50's) had an operation in his nasal passage to correct his sinus problem involving drainage. But I think most people learn to live with their sinus problem and don't require an operation.

That's just my observation.
Sounds like you are suffering from terminal sinus problems.

Nasal sprays and antibiotics give you a bit of temporary relief but they don't overcome the problem which is overactive mucus glands and nasal sprays can actually damage your sinuses. Surgery to enlarge the sinus cavities so you can breathe a bit better is no good either as the overactive mucus glands remain unchanged.

What you can do is to switch from mucus forming dairy products and red meat to soy milk and white meat.
