Who believes free radicals really cause premature ageing?
Question:
Personally, I'm with the "lunch" theory, but then I'm got my doubts about Al Gore's global warming too.
Answers:
They actually do. Free Radicals are molecules that are "unpaired"... which means they may be either missing ions or have extra ions.
Molecules that are unpaired are unstable, so they will stabilize themselves in whatever way they can, typically from ripping something out of whatever it can, which can damage tissues if they are in the body.
It's similar to the weather... like when there is a high pressure front, it will forcibly push itself into low pressure areas... it's just the nature of what it does.
