I have a knot behind my belly button and pain.?

Question:
The knot and pain have come up before and don't usually last but a day (give or take). When I have them and I sit or lay down, you cant feel the knot and the pain seems to go away, but when I get back up they both come back. Kinda weird. But concerning. The pain is usually bad, but worse when I touch or mash on the spot. Any suggestions? Wondering about a hernia or the Sister Mary Joseph Nodule? Seems to be more hernia related. Does hernias come and go like that?

Answers:
Sounds like you have a hernia. I had one about 3 years ago. Caused from straining. Go get it checked out soon. I had to have surgery. Really wasn't too bad but could have been worse if I waited.

Good Luck
This is simple drink water now
i am not sure quite how a hernia works but thats what it sounds like.

SEE A DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY!

hernias can become SERIOUS problems!
Sounds like a hernia. Hernias can come and go like that-especially when it's in that area. I'd see a dr
You should really have a docter check that out as soon as possible. Doesn't sound very common or anything I have heard of.

And if it hurts don't 'mash' on it. That's just silly! Why would you 'mash' on something that hurts? I don't get some people's logic on things somtimes. lol
hernia seems likely, although if the pain migrates to your right side it could be appendicitis.
You're first guess is 100% correct, it is a hernia. Yes, they come and go like that as they pop in and out of the muscle tissue. I had one exactly like yours. I would recomend that you see a doctor and see if you should get it repaired.
I know what is this. You should have done some wrong movement in the early morning usually before you ate your breakfast. That's usually happens. You need to hang your self in a door or a high place while your legs are straight. Do that on an empty stomach. The other option is to lay down and stretch your arms back over your shoulders and let someone like your sister pull them gently several times. You will be okay trust me.
it could be a hernia, but i'm not positive.you should really see a doctor. especially if it is causing you that much pain.
