You should check with your doctor, you may have GORD (gastro oesophageal reflux disorder) which causes stomach acid to raise back up into the oesophagus causing heartburn. Your doctor will probably prescribe you medication to reduce the amount of stomach acid you produce.
Try using an extra pillow when you sleep , the angle of your throat will then stop acid from coming back and forth in your sleep and irritating you.
Other than this have a look at your dietary pattern and see if certain foods especially provoke your heartburn.
Make a log for a week of what you ate and the severity of the pain , then you can analyse it.
This is what i did and with a few changes the heartburn went , i hope this helps you .
Are you taking any other medication?sometimes this can cause heartburn. You might like to try peppermint cordial, ive been told this works.
I recently had heartburn, after several months I visted my local GP, he took some details and gave me some tabelts called Nexium, these tablets reduced the acid in your stomarch, I would goto your local GP and explain your problems and get some medical advice.
Hi I had same problem.
Arrange for a Urea Breath Test, simply blowing into a tube and this will help your doctor treat what you have. Also stay away from hot spicy and fried foods. Also avoid lying down and straining alot whils bent over. (that sounds a bit bad don't it lol)
I would see your GP as this is being troublesome.
