That is exactly what is happening, when you smoke, particularly on an empty stomach it can stimulate you to produce gastric acid, this will cause heartburn. What is the answer? STOP SMOKING! It is a dirty filthy habit and 50% of current smokers will die as a direct result of their habit.

i don't know if this irrelevant or not but my gran was a chain smoker, 40 a -day habit and she had a stomach ulcer because of it so go to the doc

I get this, sometims after smoking too much and I put it down to acid indigestion as I suffer from that.

i had a friend who smoked for 15yrs and all of a sudden started feeling that way too, almost over night. he went to his doctor and found out he was allergic to nicotine. i'm not a physician but you might want to go to one.

are your lungs in your stomach? the smoke doesn't get to your stomach - the only other reason is if you are pregnant and its making you feel sick with heartburn.
My guess is that you ate it instead of smoking it.
