Theres prolly something on your mind. maybe some good our bad.
You either have too much on your mind, or aren't getting enough exercise during the day.

Are you tired when you go to bed? Or does your mind keep wandering..
Try drinking hot milk before you go to bed, or eat alot right before bedtime. Then, your blood rushes to diges your food. And also work out in the yard alot during the day. Hope this helps!
trying doing exercise or somethign that requires alot of energy before you go to sleep about an hour before you go to sleep.
then take a nice warm shower, and drink some warm milk.
I doubt you'll stay up after that.

Pleassant dreams

P.S. Mario the last thign you want to do is eat alot before you go to sleep. Bad for the metabolism
try taking a hot bath or shower that used to work for me.
Hey,
well try not thinking much at night at start counting numbers (0 to till u sleep) , don't stop eventually u will fall asleep practice this daily and will help you and try to stop sleeping during the evenings and wake up early these things matter for ur night sleep

Good Luck
lol this use to happen to me.
the best way to make your sleeping ruteen normal again is to maybe stay away for one whole night, then when morning comes keep awake still, and then when around 7 at night comes go to bed, because you will be tired and it will be very easy to fall asleep:) if its too hard to do this, then maybe drink some coffe around the time you want to go to bed? it may take a while to get back into your sleeping ruteen though, good luck x
do u have stuff on your mind that you cant stop thinking of?
that can be a big problemwhen trying to go to sleep
Honey, look for a Mogu pillow. Big Lots is having them on sale for $3.00 at this time. Get one of the heart shaped ones or the ones that look like deflated basketballs.

It's a pillow filled with a ga-gillion tiny plastic pellets and will form to however you want it to. It will make your head warm and it's "instant sleep". Give it a try!
My son has had this problem since birth. I bought him a product at Wal-Mart. Have your mom talk to the pharmacist.

There are several other things you can do like take a long soothing bath, make sure you exercise during the day.

Perhaps your mom will take you to the doctors if your problem continues. There are other conditions such as mania, depression and anxiety that interfere with sleep.
Exercise is a great helper for sleep. Helping to burn off excess energy and tire you out it can be a big factor in loss of sleep.

Eating less sugary foods like candy or carbohydrates and eating more vegetables can also be a great help.

Theres a lot of different herbal teas that have sedative properties which are a good for short term help but i wouldn't focus on short term fixes because you may get dependant on them for sleep and not fix the underlying issue, or you may also run out or be somewhere where you cant it.
just listen to some music, or watch some tv, and relax. dont think so much, cuz that can cause you not to be able to sleep at all. trust me i know cuz i used to have those problems. if music or tv doesnt work, get one of those sleeping pills if anything, or during the daytime, play a sport or something that gets you going alot then at night you should feel tired from it and be able to sleep
Vicatine should do the trick!
NyQuil!
Everyone goes through this at one time or another. Watch how much caffeine and sugar you're eating or drinking. Try a warm bath, read a good book or listen to soft music.
If this problem persists for a week or more , you probably should talk to your folks.
Good luck to you!
I hope you solve this problem soon.
cut out the caffiene, it's in coke, pepsi etc...plus chocolate.
Watch out for Mountain Dew too, it's actually the highest for caffeine of regular soda's.
Good luck. hang in there :)
people say eating before you go to bed is bad for you..when its actually not we learned in my psychology class that you actually burn more calories sleeping than if you were awake sitting around watching tv..so anyhow..it always helps me to eat a light snack before bed, maybe drink something warm..or listen to music until you become sleepy. If you still can't fall asleep maybe there's something bothering you and you should go to the doctor, avoid getting on any type of sleeping pill though I've heard weird things about those.
You're right school's about to start and you must make preparations this early (err..late) since your body needs to adjust its biological clock.
At your age you should still be getting around 8-10 hours of sleep as you face various daily activities (esp. school) which can wear you out.
My advice for you is to play sports or exercise in the afternoon. Afterwhich, have your dinner early since you want that to digest before you fall asleep. Just in case this doesn't work since each person is unique, you could take a good amount of sweets (hope you're not diabetic! if not scrap this solution) and after a few hours of being hyper a.k.a "sugar rush" you will feel sleepy and just go with the flow.
Hope this helps!
you should control your sleeping time, i think 6 hours is enough for sleep, you are so lazy man, i should do heavy exercise to become faster
Take a dose of Nyquil medicine that will knock you out pretty quick
I will give you the same answer I gave a previously chosen best answer to the same question.

Try to stay up for one whole day or most of one and if you have to take a nap make it at least 8 hours before you want to try to go to bed. Take your shower in the morning and try not to worry about it at night. For some people it wakes them instead of relaxing them. Then at the time you want to be going to sleep(10 is good to get up at 8) start closing down the house or if your younger your room. Brush teeth and have a glass of milk(something on your stomach will help)

When you are ready for bed turn all noise and lights off and get in bed. Then the hard part is stay there no matter what.

If this doesnt work still turn all the noise but the washer or dryer or a fan(they create white noise which isnt like the tv that can keep your brain activated.) or you could buy a sound machine or cd that plays stuff like the ocean, rain, a stream, thunder, stuff like that. And again no lights and stay in bed. Focus on whatever noise you choose (they usually are rythmic in a way) and usually the longer you listen with a full(full not stuffed) tummy the drowsier you will get.

Another suggestion would be to take a shower as part of getting ready for bed and also cleaning your bed set during the day. You'd be surprised what a clean bed could do. Mix this with some of the other suggestions above when you do.

You could also try reading yourself to sleep. with or without the white noise.

If after all this you may want to try seeing your doctor. Let them know how you feel about taking medication and see if there is anything they can recommend. You can just call if you are uncomfortable going in. They may or may not
need to see you.

It may take a WEEK of mixing these ideas up but hopefully one will help. I pray God give you rest and God Bless.
