Im so scared of needles doc prescribed me 2 ativan for a blood draw 2 1 miligram pills what can i expect?

Depends on your body weight, I think, and how sensitive your brain is. It works fast (within 45 minutes). I am 120 lbs. and the last time I had 2 mg of Ativan, I fell asleep within 5 minutes and woke up two hours later.

Comatose. Most people start out taking 0.5mg and are upped to 1mg after a period of time. Why are you afraid of needles? What did they ever do to you? Maybe try to understand why you are afraid and address that, better to be healthy and a blood test is pretty much the easiest way. If you don't like the "hurt" of a needle then there are ways to numb the area first. Make sure to be well hydrated for your blood draw so that the needle goes in quickly and clean. If someone sticks you and starts moving the needle around while under the skin tell them to stop and get someone else. I know I do not have the normal vein they use to draw blood for the arm--someone stuck me where it should be and wondered why she couldn't get blood return--I told her it wasn't there.
i know a few people on atvan, ive heard very good thing about so far.
as far as needles, i dont why so many people trip on this...it hurts way less than wiping out on a bycicle, or a bee sting,
by the way, ativan is in pill form, correct? why do they need to check blood? is there something wrong with your system that needs blood anyway? its really not that big a deal to give blood... seriously... even if you donate blood, theyre not take so much that youll need a transfusion...that wou;ld be dumd
