Have I grown up too fast?
Question:
I started smoking ciggarettes when I was about 12 years old. I smoked weed for about 2 years starting at about 11. I have been drunk so many times that I lost track. I tried cocaine when I was 13 and did that for a few months too. I used to pop all kinds of pills just to get high and I almost ODed before.
I have a great boyfriend now and he helps me keep my mind set in the right direction. I don't do any of the crazy stuff that I used to do before. I'm still around it all and I know what it does so I choose to stay away from it all and say no.
My mom found out about it and told me that I grew up too fast and that I shouldn't have experienced any of that until I was at least around 15 or 16 but at that time I will be in high school and it really counts then.
Did I grow up too fast?
Answers:
everything happens for a reason. if you never experienced all that, then who knows what could have happened to you when you were 15. Because now you know what will happen. Dont worry, when i was 14 i shoplifted, tried cigarettes, and pot, and got drunk on weekends, and when i was 15 i tried hookah, and i now smoke pot just about every day, and i've been doing the pain killers and drinking. but its all experience. becuase now i know not to drink and take vicoden becuase it makes me sick. lol.
idk, i think some times its good to grow up becuase now ur experienced, and you have street smarts.
Well yes all that is a bit fast but it's good you are trying to go straight and get better in life. good luck.
yes! but your moving in an new direction which is a great start! good luck!
No, u didn't grow up too fast, instead you were mislead into an almost negative lifestyle. Stop all those bad habits eg smoking, popping pills etc, ask and get help if you need it. You are only 14, you still have a long way to go before you can say you have grown up too fast. Getting support from someone close such as your boyfriend is important.
So your mom found out and she should be standing by you to help you grow up into a fine adult. What matters now is whether you are willing to give up all that and learn from your experience and maybe share them with other kids who are in need of your guidance. School is good. Learn and pass on your knowledge.
