Is there any way that you can have medical treatment in America if you are poor?

Question:

Answers:
There are a lot of clinics that have "sliding fee scales" for those that have lower income. I've been to one or two, and they normally are called "teaching hospitals" and have newer doctors and/or interns, so they are more willing to get more people to come in so their newer doctors can learn.

It may not be the BEST care. but it's more affordable for many people.

Granted, if it's something more serious, you may need a specialist which will cost more. but if it's a normal ailment (cold, flu, checkup, etc.), it'll be fine.
Go and apply for state help and they probably won't deny you because you say you are poor. If you are in serious condition a hospital can not deny you medical treatment if you don't have insurance.
never been poor don't know....
