Thyrolar and weight loss?

Question:
I have been researching thyroid medication so I will be able to discuss all my options with my doctor, and I read that thyroid medication containing T3 and T4 is probably the better choice because some peoples bodies do not convert T4 into T3 ... I was wondering if anyone is taking Thyrolar and what side effects they experience, especially in the depression and weight loss department ...

Also if anyone is taking two separate medications one for the T4 and one for the T3 hormone ... Thanks :)

Answers:
I am taking cytomel (T3), just 5 mcg and lowered my levothyroxine by 25 mcg. I feel more alert but recently had trouble sleeping, blood test indicated I became hyperthyroid.

Mentally I feel better with the 5 mcg of cytomel. Without it, I wasn't quite 100%, now I feel mildly better. Part of me wonders if it is a placebo effect.

Weight loss was never really that much of a problem.
