If your short/long sited, will your eyesight deteriorate overtime if you don't wear glasses?

Question:
and how worse would it get how fast
=)

Answers:
Everybody's eyesight deteriorates over time, very slightly. Lenses (specs or contacts) generally are sold in 1/2 diopter steps, starting at zero for perfect vision, they go - for people who can't see things in the distance and + for people who can't see up close. Up to +/- 1, you can "get by" by squinting, above that you need correction. Up to + or - 6 is the "normal" range, correction more than that is generally rarer and means your sight is very poor, much over +/- 20 lenses are individually made and you really are as blind as a bat.
As you get older, most people find it harder to focus up close, and begin to need correction to some extent.
Generally, a correction change of more than +/- 3 due solely to aging is rare. And what they say makes you go blind, doesn't really.
No, in fact it may get better over time!
Depends on your type of eyes, they seem to deteriorate slowly tho, it is usually best to wear glasses, i have been wearing them all my life and they have only started to say that they are making massive improvements, i could have been nearly blind by now.
Depends what age. I was a bit short sighted at 13 but was able to throw my glasses away at 18.
