How to avoid side pain when running?

Question:
Do you get side pain when running? Below your stomach?
Why do we get this? And how to prevent it?

Answers:
The pain you feel is due to an accumulation of lactic acid. During power-intensive exercises such as sprinting, when the rate of demand for energy is high, lactate is produced faster than the ability of the tissues to remove it and lactate concentration begins to rise.
First and foremost, stay well-hydrated at all times. This includes before, during, and after training sessions as well as throughout day-to-day activities. During the training sessions and directly afterward, try to consume foods that are easily absorbed and digested. This can include sports replacement drinks. In addition, make sure that you eat soon after each training session -- within the first fifteen minutes if at all possible -- to help replenish your depleted glycogen stores. Your post-exercise snack should include a carbohydrate-protein combination.
stretch prior to running drink some water but not a lot of water and run more often get your body used to doing the exercise
ya i do!! it's so annoying. i always feel like i'm the only one who has it. thx for bringing it up. when it happens, i just run at a slower pace or stop for a minute.
I run cross country and track and i used to deal with side cramps all the time...but what you do is you drink water 24/7 and make sure you have correct form when you run and breathe the right way...also stretching before you run helps alot...bad running shoes can make a big difference too but its mainly how your breathing.
To avoid this, you have to stretch before you exercise. Make sure you drink a lot of water too. Those are the two main reasons why the side hurts and that's how to prevent it.

Plus, keep on running coz eventually your body will get used to it and pain won't be an issue. Believe me, I know!
