Have you ever thought of smoking as a slow suicide?

Question:

Answers:
about as much as i think of Mcdonald's in that way. You can't live forever.
I don't eat Mcdonald's by the way, but i do smoke.
absolutely
yes and allways those cancer sticks they call cigars and etc are not healthy for you in anyway! So why would you inhale them? Would you give it to your kids? NO so why would you smoke them. Plus i hate when people smoke around me and im prego! O think its so rude. people die from smoking so it is suicide.
no not one bit!
my grandpa smoked for a very long time...he never got cancer. although they have carcinogenic agents in them...what about the food we eat, the chemicals that are sprayed on them to keep insects off of em.
I'm not a smoker and never have been but i'm going to have to say NO to this question. My grandfather smoked all his life and lived to be 92 years old (died of old age). My dad is 65 and has smoked since he was 13 years old and doesn't have any health problems. I hate cigarettes and think people should not smoke but I don't think smoking is an automatic death sentence. I read a post from a man on this this site before and he said that his wife was just diagnosed with terminal cancer and they have lived their life eating very healthy and avoiding all fried foods, didn't drink and never smoked. He was angry that they spent all those years avoiding foods that they were told were not good for them even though they loved them. He said the day his wife was diagnosed they went out and bought a fry daddy and are going to enjoy the rest of the time they have together doing whatever the heck they want. Moderation is the key. The bad thing about smoking is that it not only affects the person smoking but also the people around them. Live life to the fullest.
