Where are long term coma patients held?

Question:
Are they held in hospitals or set up in your home, or sent to a special facility

Answers:
State sponsored institutions, convalesant hospitals, medical centers, and private residences. Where a coma patient ends up depends on their economic status, insurance costs, and medical need.
The coma center
Generally in a long-term nursing home.
Depends on the type of injury/illness that caused the coma and what the family wants/is able to handle. Some families can handle patients in their homes with the help of home health care and/or private duty nurses. Other patients are cared for in head/spinal injury rehab facilities, nursing homes or other specialized facilities. They all generally start out in a hospital for several months.

Hi! It depends on where you live. Many patients are in special wings of a hospital, some are in nursing homes close to hospitals, and some patients, depending on healthcare insurance, are in their own homes with visiting nurses/care providers, etc. It just depends on where you live. Wishin you well.
I think here in my area they have a couple in a nursing home facility, that is set up for the elderly.
