I'm still dizzy after donating blood?

Question:
I donated blood yesterday but I'm still feeling a little bit off. I checked my pulse and its a bit higher than normal. Its is usually 75ish but when I checked it today the averages have been in the 90s. It sort of worries me.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows how long I should be having this light-headedness? How long is normal? Or should I even assume the high pulse rate is connected to this loss of blood? I feel nauseated and its hard to eat anything. I can't even sing...

Answers:
The effects can last upto 3 days. My husband is in the air force and flies. They can't fly for 72 hours after donating because of the side effects.
Give it some more time maybe a day, and then seek medical advice if you are still feeling off colour.
Rest and eat. Youll be fine.
Sometimes it is normal and sometimes it is not. What you need to do is just relax, maybe it something with some protein it or something like peanut butter crackers. If you aren't feeling better though you should call the help line they gave you when you left. It should be on a piece of paper and they give it to you after you give blood but before you go to the snack table. So, I would suggest eating something and immediately calling that number. Just try to relax, because getting worked up about it is not going to help.
orange juice.drink orange juice. i just gave blood on wednesday and i was feeling like that and i was given orange juice and i was feeling great after that.
the answer to your question is: could you sing before you gave blood? I know that giving blood will not make a singer out of you.
well hello..its nice of u to come to me for help...well i honestly think that u should go c a doctor or the person who took the blood out of u...nd ask them ur questions...is it normal??...i really think u should go c a doctor as soon as possible just in case anything goes wrong.b/c u never kno wat could happen. nd since its not normal to u...u really should go c a doctor. but about the light-headiness i could say that's normal..because i had surgery on my head nd i lost alot of blood...nd yes i had headaches for quite sumtime.so when u lose blood alot.ur muscles could hurt but mostly ur head has sum sort of results due to ur lose of blood...but yea thats my opinon...most people come to me for answers...but i dont kno wat u want though...i say take my decision/opinon...i'm mostly rite...well i hope everything turns out ok...take care nd God Bless.
