A cure for athlete's foot with blisters, cracked and peeling skin?

Question:
The doctor can't get me in for over a month, and I am miserable. I have a patch on the side of my heel that is constantly peeling, scaling, cracking, and blistering. I have been puting Lotrimin on it twice a day. It starts to look better, then it flares up again. Any suggestions?

Answers:
You will probably need a prescription anti-fungal to elimninate
the problem but soaking in epsoms salt will give some relief for the inflamation and cracking.
Depends on the cause. I get really bad cracked skin during the summer because I constantly wear sandals. This is what fixes it for me. Before bed slather your feet in Vaseline then put socks on to trap the moisture (and not mess up your sheets). The moisture in the Vaseline will be absorbed by your feet and heal the dry patches. Surprisingly, wearing socks traps the amount of perspiration your feet put out and helps keep your feet moist. If you're a big sandal/flip flop etc wearer then your feet are being denied this needed moisture.

If you in fact are wearing socks frequently and you still have this problem then perhaps it is a fungus like athlete's foot in which case an anti-fungal is what you need. If the over the counter stuff isn't working then a prescription might be required.

Good luck!
Lamisil can help you but it takes something like up to 6 weeks. You only have to rub it on the relevant areas once a day.
